I can't see your pic, EWPZ... :-?

Your real name is Danielle, Tween_Luv? Mine's almost the same, I'm Dana. :grin: Nice pictures, in the second one you remind me of a friend from Serbia.

Some pics of myself, they're from a vaccation:

So you're originally from Russia? Yes, you reminded me of a Slav in one of your pics. :D I'm from Slovakia - a small state in Central Europe, formerly known as Czechoslovakia (but we "divorced" peacefully).

ooOOoo. My friend's sister was from Czeck (sp?) so, from that..i know of slovakia. i've studied it in school. Yeah, how different is the language in Czeck (do you add a republic to that?) and Slovakia? Cause when the sister was talking in Czeck (her native countries language) i could understand most of it since it was so close to russian. :D

Most Slavic languages are similar to each other, I think. Czech and Slovak language are very, very similar, since we "lived" together for a long time. They're mutually understandable - when I speak Slovak, Czechs understand me and vice versa...

*waves to Pauline* Hello! :D

yeah, thats just like Russian and Ukrainian (sp?). my dad is from ukraine, from Odessa to be exact, and he was speaking Ukranian the other day and i came up to him and said "hey dad, why are you making so many grammatical/word mistakes? I thought you were good at russian!" he, corrected me and so, i see what you mean by Slavackian (sp?) and Czeck being very very alike.

I've got some pics from my graduation for you to see:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v712/wildeanne/graduation/graduation3.jpg --> This is too dark (bad light), but you can see me on the left, blending into darkness... :grin:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v712/wildeanne/graduation/graduation5.jpg --> This is after the ceremony with my family and friends (though Lucia, my sister, is falling asleep)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v712/wildeanne/graduation/graduation8.jpg --> me and my boyfriend
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v712/wildeanne/graduation/grad11.jpg --> and then the banquet... :D

If I seem pale or not too happy, that's because I was ill... not feeling very well and it was all so exhausting.

Is English your second language?
If all of you are basically from eastern Europe that would be the case wouldn't it? Russia is part of Europe and Asia isn't it?

(So many quesitons, I know... :grin: )

Yes, Russia is in Europe and Asia, divided by the Ural mountains. The Asian part is bigger, but I think more people live in the European part.

What do you mean by second language? Hm, that should be a language which is one of the official languages of a country, but it's not your mother tongue. For me English is a foreign language, it's not an official language here, but it's useful to know it. My mother tongue is Slovak and I understand Hungarian very well too (I live in a bilingual area).
