Ahem, this is something no-one has picked up on. The owl that bit Harry was Black. It was meant to be Sirius's own owl - even though in real life black owls don't exist they used make up on the owl to make it look black.
Pigwidgeon in the documentary I saw was a weeny owl, no bigger than a hand. I'm disappointed that they didn't show him.
I also agree with the portrayal of DD. Richard Harris was excellent and everything you imagine DD to be - calm, collected, calculating, genuine and loving. Michael Gambon tends to overplay the character and I think because he has never read all of the books perhaps in order in one go, perhaps he doesn't quite grasp the way we have imagined him to be.
I think we've all imagined DD as a grandfather type person, or at least I certainly have.
I didn't like the lack of Barty explanation, the fact there was no elves whatsoever. Tthough I knew this before the film as I'd read it somewhere, I was still disappointed not to see them.
I think there were some funny scenes missed out - Krum pronouncing Hermy-ninni, hermy-own bit was missed and I really wanted to see that! I also wanted to see a bit of the World cup played!
