The Harry Potter movies, in my opinion, are geared predominantly (99%) at the child audience, while the books are written in a way that anyone can read it and enjoy it.

The movies in my opinion, do no justice to the characters. They do not develop them very well, it seems like their's something lacking every time and I can't really connect to the characters in the movies as I can to the book characters.

The only movie adaptation of a book, that I've been totally happy with, has been Peter Jackson's epic, Lord of the Rings. Although there was some changes, it was an excellent portrayal none the less.

i disagree. all the movies were the same and didnt do justice to an exellent story that is HP.
all the films seem rushed and parts of the book which jk spends time over are bearly mentioned yet somethin that she mentioned in passing ends up taking 20mins to play out on the screen. the trouble with using amature actors in the first film is that..... well u can barely call it acting its so wooden but you expect that. its just y mess with somethin that is perfect to begin with? to add the directors visions? wot a load of ****! it should of been taken pretty much from the book as most of it is describing the scenes a picture can do that in seconds then its all the dialoge to add, a bit of special effects and there u go somethin the fans would accept and bring new fans to the books.
i so should of been a director.
(they should of at least asked the fans how thay think it should be portrayed)
ne1 agree with me? or am i on my own?

(sorry for the rant)
