The next move of Lord Voldemort and his Dark Army

Postby b.scheller » Thursday 15 December 2005 12:32:19pm

Well, we all know that the dark lord is gathering force within the magical creatures of the world. From the giants, to the trolls, and warewolves.

Is an all-out Dark War against the Muggles at hand? Voldemort would benefit greatly if the common Muggles knew about the Wizarding world. The different governments who have protected the wizarding community, could no longer do so, in the process of the Muggle rising up against the Wizards and witches.

Chaos and fear is what Voldemort wants is it not? In chaos, he can rise to rule against the wizards and against the muggles?

Perhaps the theory is far fetched but most of the things discussed have been about what Harry must do to defeat Voldemort, but very little has been said of what Voldemort has in store for not just Harry but for the magical and muggle world.

If he did try and out the magical world he'd have a job being believed. Besides which he has no reason to fight the muggles, he fights to be the biggest and baddest.

I'm not sure he dislikes half-bloods all that much either, he seems to see them as inferior. I reckon he uses hatred as a cause for people to rally round him for. Hate groups and fascists the world over have whipped up hatred over something that in no way effects them because fear gives them power.

There's no power to be had by conquering the muggles, the only way to real power is through enslaving the magical world without the muggles being any the wiser.

Get loads of power, keep it quiet until you're ready to pull off something special. This tactic is typical of Voldemort and I don't see much changing. The only thing that would lead to extra muggle deaths is that Voldemort doesn't care too much if others go around killing them.

I don't know, would he have such a problem getting muggles to believe that he's genuinely evil?

He's cunning after all, it wouldn't be hard for him to have the Muggles turn against the magical world. The chaos that would come from that, might topple the Ministry of Magic and would just destroy a sense of order and normality within the magical world.

Of course this is all hypothetical.

I doubt he sees in muggles the potential to do that much damage. He sees muggles as beyond weak, they are forced to die after all, whereas wizards can choose not to. I guess we'll have to wait until the seventh book to know for sure.

You mean in the sense of a philosopher stone, because I thought that all wizards and witches eventually die but their live longetivity is much longer than that of a muggle.

Nah, they're still human. But yeah philosophers stones or horcruxes. Voldemort resents his dad for being a muggle. Voldemort being half-muggle supposedly makes him "weak".
