Are you still in highschool sg?

Around here, whenever a gun shooting occurs, usually the schools located in the area are locked down. Quite recently, about a month or two ago, a gang walked into a public school after school and stabbed a couple of basketball players.

Catholic high schools on the other hand, have major problems with drug dealing. Although, I never saw that stuff myself when I went to my highschool, supposedly now there are cops there all the time. About two years back, a teacher was charged for trafficking drugs.

I guess, it gives a bad image of what my city looks like. It's no where close to the urban ghetto's of the southern neighbour. I guess like most cities, it has its safe and more dangerous neighbourhoods.

In NZ the crime rate isn't too high, we just have alot of problems with drugs and underage drinking and smoking...

We still have crimes like; murders, burglaries etc but it's probably not as high as some of those in America...

I think it's unfair to compare 4 million to 300 million. It doesn't mean that America has more crime just because it's the U.S.A, it mainly has to do with the amount of people that live within it.

Yes I'm still in highscol... My final highschool year. I don't know how schools are around there, or how old you are when you finish highscool but I'm 18 now.

In Romania there doesn't seem to be to much problem with drugs...but there are a lot of people drinking and smoking under 18. I don't know if it is ever regarded as a most serious problem, but I don't know if there's anything they could really do about it.

We have a big problem with immigrants (usually Mexicans because Canada is a fairly well-off nation) smuggling Marijuana into the country. I was watching this program, and they found that some cars contain as much as 300 pounds of marijauna in them. And if they catch them and put them in jail, it's taxpayers money going to illegal immigrants. They don't want to ship them back to Mexico because, "They want to keep good ties with Mexico,"

That is true... NZ tends to top the list on quite a few lists that... you know, average out the population and even the stats. We still aren't especially high.

But, umm... It sort of does mean America has more crime. By those stats it doesn't mean it does per population etc., but any country that has 300 million will have more crime than the 4 million.

And I'm fairly sure that even if you did even out the stats etc., then NZ probably would have less crime anyway...

Put it another way...it's the only routinely armed British Police Force (other than the MOD police who don't patrol).

Well, there used to be a huge crime rate in that area between England and Scotland, since the Kings were arguing over who gets what land, police never went into that area, it was resolved when the first king to become king of Scotland and England stepped up to the throne.

P.S. Gwared! Where'ya been?

Yes well... that was resolved a long time ago.

But, you know, disputes like that are still going on in some places... just with bigger weapons.

Or... smaller weapons, probably. Smaller but twice as deadly.

Actually, come to think of it, how can anything be twice as deadly?

You're dead either way, are you not? :???:

Well, the chances that you die are twice as much. However, today, unlike the middle ages, smaller weapons aren't necessarily deadlier. The most deadly weapon today, is the nuclear bomb, and I'd like to see you conceal that in your coat pocket.
