The <a href="http://broomsticksandowls.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=565">signatures thread that Sonkem wrote about is here</a>. There's an earlier <a href="http://broomsticksandowls.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=85">signatures thread here too</a>.
I don't think Snape is evil. I just think there's a lot in his past that has made him cynical and untrusting.

Exactly what I had in mind - that's the type of thing to leave anyone with an untrusting view of people. I know Harry's Dad was the one who saved him, but seeing as Harry's Dad was part of the group responsible, it's easy to see why Snape just sees this as Harry's Dad saving the group from getting into huge trouble rather than anything else.
Havng your life saved is one thing. But having it saved and feeling that it was just so that the person who saved you (and their friends) was just doing it to save their own skin and avoid getting expelled from Hogwarts is bound to make you cynical. I'm not saying that these are necessarily the reasons James did save Snape, but that's how Snape sees it and it's quite a logical view.

I think that serving Voldy for that brief period of time might have been a factor. I mean, he's nasty to everyone who's not a Slytherin.

Hi everyone, just thought it might be interesting to see 3 year old views on whether Snape is evil or not.
And it was...

but up till now... ppl might still believe Snape is not evil...
that he was on Dumbledore's side and helped him to deceive Voldemort
*shrugs* with so many possible outcomes of Snape... let's leave it to the hands of JKR to decide the fate of our poor Half blood prince

I still don't believe he is, really...
I hope not.
Do the right thing, Snape... please!
