in the beginning of the month there was an alternative theatre festival in the city of acre, i was there for 3 days and it was really fun - there was one really really good play and another one abit hard but very interesting - about what happened in the palastinien refugee camps in the eighties... the other plays were too unclear - they were too weird in the way of not making any sense - which is a pity because to be alternative u dont have to be weird and unclear - u just have to think differently and originally
but anyways i had a really good time - the whole atmophere was really nice and there were also many street shows which were very nice and amusing, and it was also fun to hang around in the streets of acre - this part of the city is old (form about the 11th crntury i think) and the streets are quite beautiful...
ive decided to try to come back there every year from now on...

My favorite plays are definately Phantom of the Opera and Spamelot. :-) I used to think that musicals were really wierd because in real life nobody really just gets up in the middle of lunch or something and starts singing. But now that I've been in a couple I realize now that they're NOT supposed to be exactly like real life. I mean, hey! How many of you have ever met a rock'n' roll singing werewolf from the fifties. (You Ain't nothin' But A Werewolf. I was in that last year at my school.) :P

They don't use caged animals silly...its men on stilts in animal costumes, its fantastic from what I've seen of it on tv.

Last two times I went to the theatre it was to see the Edward Scissorhands Ballet and then the Cinderella Ballet. Have also seen Riverdance I think or it could have been one of the spin off shows that Michael Flatley did and Saturday Night Fever.
