Wizards and Wands

Somebody asked me this before:

When Voldie died at Harry's house - he must have dropped his wand there! And then when he reappears at book 4 he pulled out the wand out of his robe.

Did one of his loyal followers got to the house and got the wand? Wasn't Hagrid the one who got there first? Why didn't he take it?

Or maybe when the wizard is powerful, the wand is carried with him regardless if he dies or not?

he didnt die though.....he just came very close to dying....i suppose somebody like pettigrew may have got it for him.....

Yeah, good point! I always wondered where he got it from when he got his body back.. after all, there is no mention of it till Voldie's using it again>??

pettigrew? What was he doing there? Voldie didn't know there was a chance that he will fall! Noone expected it. I doubt he got there before Hagrid arrived...

Voldie almoust died.......hm....I wonder what it means. For some strange reason I thought that his body dissapeared...I don't know why.

Plus, as far as I remember (which may be totally wrong), in the 4th book he got a new body and immidiatly after that he puled his wand out of his robe.....where did he get his robe? Im so confused...

Where do wizards carry their wands? they have a pocket in their robes?

well quite obviously peter had aquired some robes for voldemort to wear before doing the spell to give him his body back....i cant see voldemort planning all that stuff and then forgetting to arrange that he have robes...i mean we cant have a naked voldemort running round.....yuk

but i wonder how the wand got there.....youd think that it would burn with the house or the ministry would break it if they found it......but then again peter was the spy and secret keeper, peter would know voldemort intended to be there and know where there was.....he could quite easily have slipped in in rat form when stuff went bad and found the wand and taken it

oh....and he cant have died or he wouldnt be able to come back would he....he very nearly died, the curse rebounded on him and as i understand it anyone else would have died but voldemort had been messing around trying to find the spell/potion for immortality and some of his experiments had clearly worked because he didnt die, he just lost his physical form....the body died, the spirit within remained and fled later to be found by quirrel and fail to get the stone the spirit abandons quirrel and gets found by peter....

I doubt that Voldie took Peter with him when he went to kill harry and James. Peter is a not his closest servant. Im sure Voldie was going there by himself. And why would Peter out of all people be following Voldie around.

Who was the first to find out of Voldie's "death"?

I never said that Voldie took Peter with him. he did it by himself, he was just curious.

peter would be following voldemort around at that time because he has just betrayed james and lily hasnt he...hes likes to follow powerful people round...hes just decided to place all his faith in voldemort so hes gonna follow him around.....voldemort probably didnt take him but peter doesnt need to be taken...hes knows where voldemort is going because he keeps the secret....

Wait, but almost immediately after Voldemort destroyed the house, Peter confronted Sirius. I don't thin kthere was enough time for him to be at the house and then go find Black and stage his death. And anyway, Peter transformed into a rat, he certainly didn't run around with it in his little rat feet, afterward. Hm, I can't think of an explanation! Will think some more...

but what does macgonagall do with her wand, robes and hat when she transforms?? nothing...and they automatically return when she becomes a human

and sirius black was at the house on the night because hagrid met him there and he gave hagrid his motorbike.....since both hagrid and sirius had tofind the house...it being secret so they didnt know where it was till voldemort attacked then peter, who knows where it is and knows Voldemort will be there has plenty of chance to be there in advance....there is then such things as apparating....sirius has to go by foot now to wherever it was the confrontation was same as peter and was the confrontation immediately after...i always understood it was a few days later...

Few days later? Poor baby Harry would die from hunger if he was left like that for a few days....or from dehydration.

I really doubt Peter was following Voldie. And the fact that he just betrayed Lilly and James would make him feel bad and NOT wanting to see them.

He can't be just following Voldie around - there would be soo many people doing that then. I mean Peter is not unique or anything.

And if Peter was a rat - he didn't have time to get to the house and do all that. Plus, if he was at the house - wouldn't he try to kill Harry?

look there is such a thing as apparating in the wizarding world.....wizards can be anywhere except hogwarts immediately depending on whether they care if muggles see them....

also i was wondering whether the confrontation between peter and sirius was a few days later...that is the impression i always got and not whether the whole finding harry in the house was a few days later

we know that harry was taken to the dursleys immediately after the curse rebounded

why would peter try to kill harry if he was there...hes just seen voldemort fail hasnt he....i think it would take peter a fair amount of time to pluck up the courage to try to kill harry

So I guess you ALL believe that Peter went and got Voldies wand.

But, but, how did Peter know that Voldie didn't die yet? Cause Im sure he would have no reason to pick that wand up if Voldie was fully dead. Wouldn't he be afraid to touch it?

maybe one of voldie's death eaters ( the faithful ones like crouch) went to the potter's house to see if the storys were true. one could've picked up the wand and kept it .?????
