Thanks Quicksilver and again to Chocobo. Got to admit I'm quite terrified about the planned upgrade at the moment. Read yesterday about someone trying to do the same type of upgrade on another board and totally losing 7000 posts despite doing a back-up of everything :eek:

Almost made me think about keeping to the way things are, but you folks deserve the best, so I'm determined to give it a try. I'll be doing 2 types of backup so that if something goes wrong one way, all the posts will be recoverable. Gonna take a while - I've pencilled it in for the 24th and 25th of this month, so the boards are likely to be unavailable for a while during those 2 days. I'll post a message to remind everyone about the down-time in the Great Hall near the end of next week.
