New Evil's???

Okies, for those who have read the book, (obviously)... I was thinking that maybe Umbridge could become part of a new group of evil people... I dont' think that after she ran off at the end, she will go join Voldie, but I do think that she will try to stop Harry succeding in whatever it is that he does...

Like maybe she will go all dark and reclusive for a while, probably block out the centaur thing from her memory, and then recover in a sense (thought still be utterly insane) go after Harry, in an attempt to distroy him... Know what I mean?

Oh wells, that's what I'm thinking anyways!!!

She'll probably go after Harry, but I doubt she joins league with voldemort. I mean... she just doesn't seem like the 'evil' kind to me. Sure, she's a horrible teacher, and follows the ministry, and belives in old prejudeces, but now that everybody is warned what he can do, and how horrible it will be if he comes to power again, I think it will be tough for him to gain new supporters other than old DE and their children. Because, you can, after all, fight the imperius curse.

I don't think we'll be seeing her again.. she was too underdeveloped as a character. She was pretty much just a character assigned as the Ministry of Magic puppet.. and didn't really have anything about herself going on. Also, since the Ministry is now on Dumbledore's side, if she went back to the Ministry she'd have to be working *with* Dumbledore... and she really can't go anywhere else, what with her record of being a nasty horrible headmistress over her head. I'm pretty sure that even if her name pops up somewhere, it won't be for anything major. Of course, if I'm wrong, and 4 years from now when we all finish book 7 things have changed, you all have permission to whallop me. =)

As infuriating as Umbridge was, I doubt she'll be back in any major role, which is really almost a pity. I'm not very fond of throwaway characters, especially ones who seem like they could become major characters. Something about Umbridge's capture by the centaurs and her eventual departure from Hogwarts was just too easy and too cheesy for me. Oh well, she served her purpose and she served it well! I wanted to throw the book across the room at times.

I rather thought she'd end up in St. Mungo's along with Lockhart. She really messed with the wrong creatures when she bad-mouthed the centaurs in front of them.

I never thought hat she would go and join Voldie.. jsut be one of those stalker type people...t otally obsessed with getting Revenge on Harry, after all, she already hates him!!!

And she was more than just a puppet of the minestry and a nasty teacher... remember she sent those dementors after Harry... she's definately got both a very nasty part to her nature, and a big thing against Harry... all spells obsessive stalker with lust for revenge/death to me!!!

But yeah, in all honesty, she probably wont' be mentioned again... I think that this is jsut a scenario that I would like to happen, unlikely as it is!!!

I think she will join Voldemort, if she hasn't already.
Why would she sent dementors if she wasn't with Voldemort, and why would she use the Cruciatus curse if she is not a follower of the Dark Lord.

I'm still in two minda about wether she will join Voldie or not...

If she doesnt', it might have something to do with her mind continuing to refuse to accept certain facts, like his return...

That would mean she is crazy, if Fudge has accepted it, then Umbridge most accept it too (in case she is still working for the minister); but if she sent the dementors without Fudge knowing, then I really believe she is Voldemort's side, also I hink she helpd the captured DE escape. Because dementors still had to receive orders from the miniter or it would be obvious LD was back, so Umbridge did it for Voldemort.

I think Umbridge was like Crouch in his early days... where he gave the Ministry unprecedented powers to deal with the Death Eaters. She probably would not join Voldemort, but she's very ambitious, and believes in drastic actions, and in her mind, probably thinks it's nothing wrong to use such ways to deal with someone she thinks is threatening her position or the Ministry... (Dumbledore, Harry Potter etc)

I'm not sure, she didn't seem to be very intelligent, also to act on things she thought. Sending dementors to search Harry is something only Voldemort would do, why would the ministry do that?

I think that umbridge is a nasty piece of work, but I can't see her going to Voldemort at all, I think she fears in too much to join him, I mean she refused to believe that he was back in power. Plus its not like she ran off, she got rescued, as she was in the Hospital ward when Hermonie and Ron was in there. Personally I think its the last we have seen of Umbridge.

I see Umbridge as a Nazi - someone who likes order, and power for the sake of power. Not every Nazi was evil.

I never saw her as evil. I see her more like a nasty version of Percy. A sycophant - a toadie.

Frankly, if she glimpsed Voldemort, she would flee because he represents chaos, not the order she loves too much.

I think she has had her run. Harry probably has true evil in his future, not a power-crazed secretary.

I agree, Umbrige wants everything her way and very fast. LV however, is willing to take the time to get what he wants ie: getting his body back, taking the weapon

June: Just what I was thikning, she is very much like Crouch in his day... He seemed to be willing to go to any length to stamp out what he saw as evil, and so did Umbridge!

She wanted to use the Crutatious curse on Harry after all, remember? And she obv wasnt' going to tell Fudge about it, so she's not completely loyal to him... and the dementor business, she never told him about that either.

I dont' think that she will even join Voldie though (if she remains in the books) Like Crouch, she definately seems to be against them, it's jsut that she refuses to see that Voldie has returned... I think that her hatred for Harry will grow though, and she will definately be out to get him!!!
