3 main new characters...

Gary Oldman to play Sirius
i think he's a good choice and will really do the role justice
David Thewlis to play Lupin
much the same as sirius, i think that he will suit the part

However, Timothy Spall to play Pettigrew seems really wrong, he's totally not like i imagined him to be. i thought that he was going to be really small and weedy, Spall seems too big to play the part.

Maybe this is just me?

I've only seen David Thewlis act (in The Big Lebowksi), well I hope he knows how to act different than in that movie, because the way he acted in there won't make a good Remus at all!

I've seen Thewlis in other stuff. He's very talented. I almost didn't recognize him in Big Lebowski 'cause I'd never seen him do anything that silly!

i havent seen that. i think that i am just basing it on my own expectation on his appearence. i just feel that he looks wrong for the part

I don't know . . . in all the pictures I've seen of David Thewlis (which aren't many, believe me), he doesn't really match the picture I have of Lupin at all . . . but then, the pictures I've seen are probably just really bad pictures . . .

hmm, well at first i was kinda worried about gary oldman playing sirius... i just couldn't see it! but then after thinking about it i think oldman can do a really good job in that role.

as for the others... i don't know any of them so i couldn't say.

Well thats why its called acting. You can act to be silly or serious...you can judge a person on the movies he does...

None of these actors are how I pictured their characters, but then again I probably would have felt the same way analizing the choices for the first movie.

I guess thats why the casting directors get paid the big bucks. 8)
