Well, there are the obvious characters I dislike--such as Voldemort, Peter Pettigrew, the Dursleys, etc.--but if I was to say which character truly disgusts me, I'd have to say Pansy Parkinson. :mad:

I'm no fan on Draco or his cronies, but she's especially bad . . . all too reminiscent of some girls I went to school with when I was a pre-teen (or 'tween') and a teen. She's just so nasty . . . I can't really explain it but suffice to say, she walks around as though she's better than everyone else, constantly being nasty, acting like an ignorant gang-leader--as I've mentioned, I remember a few too many of her from my school days! :eek:

Perhaps because I am a woman I tend to be more sensitive to females who are catty, snarky, and haughty.

Don't get me wrong, Draco isn't much better (in fact, in many ways, he's equally as bad, but at least Harry, Ron, and Hermione have had opportunities to take him down a peg or two, unlike with Pansy!), but Pansy really strikes a bad chord with me . . . maybe her mother is like Draco's father and *that's* where she gets it from! :razz:

Off-Topic: Reading back in this thread, I am glad people are no longer rude to Mint...not only is that extremely childish, but Mint's such a nice person...who cares if you can't remember every single little thing?? :razz:

Gosh, I'd hate to count the number of times I've misspelt things or misremembered names simply because I couldn't be arsed to go get my copy of the book and/or it wasn't handy. I've also lost count of how many times I've strode puposefully into a room, then promptly forgot what I was in there for! :eek:

And, I'm not even that old!

I'm glad this forum is for all kinds of Harry Potter fans...old, young, forgetful, not forgetful, etc. :grin:

It makes the forum far more interesting!

On-Topic: As I mentioned, Pansy is just so heinous...not that Draco isn't bad, but perhaps after seeing his father in book 2, you have a bit more of an understanding where he gets it from (and Lucius makes Draco look good! :eek:

). Perhaps the same is for Pansy...we just don't know anything about her family. Speaking of books 1 - 4 characters I disliked, I'd also have to say Cornelius Fudge...his insecurity where Dumbledore is concerned really causes him to turn a blind eye to a lot of things, when it's really in his power to be a problem-solver rather than a problem-maker...like getting Barty Crouch, Jr. 'kissed' before he could stand trial...or refusing to believe Dumbledore in regards to Sirius's innocence...he (Fudge) seems bound and determined to never listen to anything Dumbledore has to say lest it make him look incompetent, which he shows himself to be by NOT listening!

Hmm...er, okay. Well, there's a character, She Who Must Not Be Named, who I like least of all. She is, however, from Book 5, which seems to mean that even her name is a spoiler. I guess the moral of the story is: read Book 5, and you'll soon know who I like so very little! :lol:

Lolita!!!!! Darling, don't even say anything about anything from book five in any of the non-Book 5 areas, no matter what. Please chat about them in the book 5 area. I am not yelling at you; it's constructive critisim!!! LOL< seriously Lola, go to another area to talk about anything about book 5.

And as for knowing zledm007, you know him. He plays saxophone at school, and during Cinderella he ran into the shelves and busted his head open, so he missed the whole first act (hee hee hee)...do you remember him now?

I really dislike the DADA teacher of Book 5.

Second on the list is Cho Chang. I really can't stand her. Sure, she has been through a lot, but she expects too much of Harry in helping her through it.
