I can't believe how good of an author JKR is. I mean when i was watching the movie almost everything was portrayed exactly as she described it and how I pictured it in my mind. Did this happen for anyone else?

Yea, thats probally why she is really sucessful with the books. I could picture everying in my head as i were seeing it, which is much clearer than some other books.

i think it was more how the movie was made than how the books were written. the movies were just made so well, followed the books so well, that it all turned out like the books, and therefor like you or i or anyone else would've envisioned. it'll be interesting to see how slose the new movie is w/ the new director.

I have to disagree, I think it was the way she wrote the books that put such a clear vision in the directors heads! I do agree that the movies were made amazingly well, but I think they have JKR for being such a great author for that.

I think that JK is a great author and the movies were made extremely well. Her descri[tions were so good that the directors and special effects people and costumers were able to recreat it. And the recreated it really really well. But I think that I will withhold my judgement of how well the movies portray everything until I see how the nifflers look (hehe) because out of my friends that read the books, my picture of them is different from my friends (of course mine is the right one though  ) I like seeing how the movie does the creatures, like the mandrakes and the troll. Because the creatures are where I use most of my imagination, and I think its really neat when my image matches other people's.

yea, it was like JKR had meant for HP to be a movie. PoA will have, I think the most magic. It will be great to see: Patronus, dementors, blown-up marge, serius and pettigrews animagus tranformations, Lupin's werewolf transformation, the time-turner, buckbeak, and I'm probably forgettin a lot.

I recently watched. "Seven Years in Tibet" with Brad Pitt and David Thewlis (whose going to portray Lupin) and he did a really good job, held his own strongly next to Brad Pitt. I think he will make a good Lupin, not too good-looking, but with a presence.

Anyone hear that Emma Thompson's been cast as Prof. Trelawney?
