My name (Mary) is also really common...but not so common amongst people my age, only the elderly and middle aged...I have only met one other Mary who was under the age of 40...he he he...I like my name, but it is very annoying when people always ask me where my lamb is or how my garden is growing (from those awful nursery rhymes...ack)

Theanna gets 20 points...yes my name is Gareth Jones the most common name in Wales.

(Sorry to all you Americans as I've discovered Brown is more common than Jones in the US).

Gareth from the Welsh Gwared which means Gentle or Benign..., oddly enough a lot of my old friends (people I don't see much nowadays), called me Gary...which means "spearman"!

So I can be nice and gentle or a spearman depending on what you choose to call me!

Incidently the Welsh connection is older than my French connection which is only 3 generations, I can't speak Welsh and never visited Wales until I was 18 as my then girlf was studying at Cardiff.

Now, who can guess the middle name? It's also common and of no help to you it is also my dad's first name! (his middle was his dad's first etc). So my first male born will have to be something Gareth Jones.

In the US, Smith is even more common than Brown. I myself am a Smith. For a cookie, care to try the middle name. It's normal, but not like Bob or Steve.

I think Evan, maybe, Gwared.
