As far as I remember, Hagrid said Harry that all bad wizards came from Slyherin... knowing that, wouldn't he say to the Sorting Hat not to put him in that horrible house? No matter what, I think he would go right into Gryffindor... then, he could make friendship with Ron or not, he hang on with Seamus or Dean, Neville... he would certainly know Hermione, but I think Ron wouldn't have said that it was quite normal for Hermione having no friends, she wouldn't have gone to the bathroom, they would never have seen Snape with a wound in the leg, etc... possibly, Voldie would be alive and like female and others said, he would kill Harry...
Concluding: The weasley's, no matter how late they were to catch the train, arrived to King's Croos in the right time... thanks to them, Voldie' wasn't able to get the stone!!!
