7th DADA Teacher

Postby Marcus Baker » Wednesday 30 July 2003 2:27:20pm

I think Snape will become the 7th dada teacher. Harry will probally do NEWT level DADA, so he might mess things up...i would like to see that happen, in the 3rd book, Harry is the best in his class at it, and can escape Mad Eye's inperementa curse. I dont want Snape to mess it up

snapes been wanting the job for the longest time, and if he does his other job right, well, DD would kinda owe it to him really. and also, i might actually be good for harry to ahve snaoe as the teacher of his favorite class, of course then again, it could be worse. he would either do better (if that's possible) just to spite snape, or he would do increadibly worse as a result of snapes pressure.

Prehaps Harry and Snape will discover they have a common distaste for the way James treated Snape...therfore Snape will stop being so nasty to HArry and would make a good DADA teacher.

I cant' see Harry ever admitting to Snape that he thinks that the say his father treated him was wrong... Just like I can't see Snape ever telling Harry that he was doing a good job of one of his Potions!

I voted no for Snape being a DADA techer in 7th yr... I think that it's apossibility taht he might have to take over the class or a while, like he did in 3rd yr with Lupin, but morel ike for a week or two, while the present teacher has to go somewhere, like is on trial or something? (I dont' know why I thought og on trial, but it just popped into my head???)

Then I think that the other teacher will come back,a nd all will be fin again!

Anyways, that's my thoughts!

I voted yes just because, I'm a sucker for good endings, and I think that Snape FINALLY getting to fufill his dream *sob* would be wonderful!

Maybe, if he finally gets the one things he wants, he won't have a big enough reason to be bitter anymore, and him and Harry will love each other from now until eternity.

Okay, let's...forget I ever said that.

that would be... scary. sure, snape is nasty and mean and rude and grudging, but he isn't evil and he does want to protect harry (though he doesn't always do a good job...) i don't think harry would work better under snape's teaching... he sure didn't help with occlumency lessons.

Im pretty sure there is a very specific reason why DD doesnt give Snape the position. All this time Snape was in very good relationship with Ministry, so it cant be them who are opposed. So it has to be DD who doesnt want Snape to take that position..... May be its just because DD thinks that he can't find better Potions teacher then Snape or may be.... :o

I voted no for I don't think Snape will stay alive until the end...

By the way, I'm not quite sure if DD trusts him in the first place...just imagine you were in DD's position:
You are in the middle of a war, fighting against the most evil wizard that's ever existed, who is getting more ane more powerful. Every day, you recieve news about innocent people having been killed, tortured or just disappeared. Facing the facts, you know you're about to lose. Then, suddenly, a former student of yours and now an apparently high ranking member of Voldemort's ranks offers to work for you as a spy. What would you do, even if you didn't quite trust him? (Remember, Snape is good enough at Occlumency to fool either DD,LV or both.) Could you afford NOT accepting such an offer? What risk are you running, anyway? What actually could happen if Snape only pretended to have changed sides? Well, he could kill you...so, the risk of losing your own life against the chance to get secret information of Voldemort's plans and maybe turn around the course the war has taken...how would you decide???

 i never thought of that! i guess i always just assumed dd would have only taken in snape if he sincerely trusted him. :o i guess i didn't want to imagine DD in such circumstances... he is so noble and wise, it doesn't seem he could make a bad decision. but then again, old man mistakes  . i think what you have said is entirely possible, siana.

Well I am sure that we will be in for lots of surprises with Snape, so Siana's theory sounds very believable.
