I really like the idea of Hermione becoming Minister for Magic! Especially because she is that what the stupid one's call a mudblood and her fight for the rights of houseleves and so on! (Even though the houselves at Hogwarts didn't realy like her idea of setting them free with these knitted hats! :P ) That would be a sign! Best one's on top! Everybody says that there has fairly never been a smarter witch than her. (Imagine Ron's face when he realises Hermione being Minister... :o *lol*)

Harry surely will become an auror. And probably a DADA teacher - he's already teaching DA members and he's doing fine with that.

Harry and Ron with homework, and she secretly gives Neville help in Potions) OOOOO I JUST THOUGHT OF IT!!!! In book 7, Snape proves himself and gets to be DADA teacher, so we need a new Potions teacher. Hermione is able to not only concoct perfect potions, but she can even correct potions that have gone bad (Neville's). She'd make a great Potions teacher!

Great idea...
(I just felt I wanted to say that!

(i don't remember the rest). You know, the only time we need to take Ron serious is when he's joking, so Arthur becomes Minister of Magic (Fudge messed up too bad), and Ron gets a job in the Ministry.

Ron's saying: "We have as many chances as winning the Quidditch Cup as my father has of becoming the next Minister of Magic." or something like that... :D Ron's jokes are almost always correct... They won the Quidditch Cup. Therefore, Mr Arthur Weasley will be the next Minister of Magic.

I think Harry will become Minister of Magic, live a long live and have 12 children.

No really though Neville should become the Herbology Teacher and Hermione will work in the Dept of Magical Creatures and Harry will begin a full fledge effert in the fight against Voldemort. Ron will work in Muggle relations like his dear old Dad

oy... don't ya hate it when you think you've posted a reply to something only to find out your dumb computer booted you off before it ever sent...

Okay, here's what I had said...

First, thanks Joto! I thought I was the only person who thought Hermione would do anything besides work at the Ministry of Magic.

child of darkness: I agree with you about 80%, except I don't think Fudge will get killed... I think the wizarding community will find out the truth about him allowing Voldemort time to get a strong foothold on power and will force him to resign.

To everyone who is saying Neville will be Herbology teacher: Do you have ANY evidence to support your case? So far, as far as I can tell, there's nothing to suggest Sprout won't be around, where there IS evidence that Snape would get DADA position (as it's hinted in every book that he tries every year), opening up the Potions position.

There isn't any direct evidence, but we can only speculate and dream.

It would be interesting for us to see Snape teaching DADA, as the pupils may learn some seriously dark magic. However, unless we learn why DUmbledore trusts snape and also why he prevents him teaching DADA then it will be difficult to see it actually happening.

I cna't see Prof. Sprout getting killed or leaving so I would think it unlikely that Neville will be Herbology teacher. I think he may become an auror if he continues on his steep learning curve. He did better in potions without Snape breathing down his neck.

yeah, I know, I just think there are some ideas that are more likely than others, and Neville teaching Herbology isn't really one of those, since there's NO evidence to say Sprout wouldn't be around to teach it. At least with the Snape/Potions/Hermione theory, some of it sticks.

I think, right now, that Dumbledore trusts Snape (don't know why yet), but keeps him away from the DADA position much the same way as he would keep an alcoholic far away from any situation where he/she would be tempted to drink. If Snape proves himself in some major way in either of the two remaining books, I think there's a chance that Dumbledore would see that he HAS "recovered" and will allow him the DADA position.

I agree wholeheartedly. I do think Neville has it in him to do Auror training. His Potions was his worst subject, and in his OWLS, he pulled it off okay when Snape wasn't around. He improved greatly (in fact, if I'm not mistaken, he was second only to Harry by the time OWLS rolled around, after a year of intense training in the DA) in DADA, and he's got the drive that many students don't have. I definately think Neville's got some power, and we're just now getting to see that. I think J.K. Rowling has made him look a little like a dufus on purpose, so we wouldn't take him too seriously.
