Favourite Authours

Okay, so, J.K. Rowling is a give-in. What other authours do you all enjoy? Name some of your favourites. Some of mine are, in no particular order:

J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King, Robert Anton Wilson, Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Garth Ennis, James Joyce, Peter Ackroyd, Ambrose Bierce, Stephen Crane, Ernest Hemingway, Thomas Pynchon...and so forth.

So, out of curiousity...who do you like?

FAVOURITE AUTHORS

Well Sonkem, you're referring to Roald Dahl.
I also like his books although they are a bit childish.

About Tolkien, he's amazing. His books are rich in literature.

Others are Charles Dickens, Robert Louis Stevenson (wrote Treasure Island amongst others) and Franklin W. Dixon.

Roald Dahl is Norwegian? Didn't know that!
Does anybody know Henning Mankell? He is a swedish author and one of my favourites. I love Robert Louis Stevenson as well (especially Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde), Franz Kafka and Michael Ende (though he writes merely for children) are also great.

Greetings, :cat: Siana :cat:
