I would like to stamp out the rumour that sirius will come back in the next books because
A: Nick said so
B: Sirius would have came back straight away because there would have been a place without time where he would have made the choice
C: A theory I read under theories gave me the idea it is under >you have to read this theory<

Well I'm still holding on to the idea there might might be a wizards painting of Sirius hiding somewhere.....cos people in paintings can talk and move around.....

Honestly, people should accept that Sirius is dead.
Even if HP is resembled with a child book (and we all know there is much more in these books than children stories), I don't see JKR saving Sirius.

And all theories will not change that simple fact : he's dead.

Yeah i agree that Sirius isn't coming back. It has just added another aspect to the story, taken it on a different road to perhaps what a lot of people thought.

I think we will hear more of Sirius in coming books, but only as memories or stories or Harry missing him etc etc etc.

What makes you the athority on Harry Potter, because the only person who can truely stamp out any rumors is JK Rowling herself.

I think he will come back, but not as a human. Maybe he will, if you beleive in it, be reencarneted in the form of a dog or something. I do like the theory of his painting talking to people though

I think you will find yasmane that people mostly don't really beleive he will come back its just they create desperate theories of how he could because they are in denial.

Sirius is usually the most popular character, Prisoner of Azkaban was often the most popular book until the 5th came out (I'm basing this on the numerous people I have talked to on many fantasy and HP forums). Hence people come up with theories on how he can come back because he is their fave character and they really don't want him to vanish from the books completely...he has only been in 3 books

Here are my thoughts on this...
I do not think Sirius will come back in any shape or form. One of the main reasons why i think this is a quote from Dumbledore near the end of book 4 - i cant remember exactly what chapter, probably veritaserum (sp?) or parting of the ways. Anyway, Harry is telling everybody exactly what happens in the graveyard, and he comes to the part where Cedric's shadow came out of LV's wand. At this point someone says "Diggory came back to life?" Then...Dumbledore says "No spell can re-awaken the dead." I know that isnt exact, but i dont want to go look it up, and im sure you all get the gist of it anyway. Now, if nothing can re-awaken the dead, then Sirius cannot come back to life (he IS dead people). Another reason why i think this is because right after Sirius dies, Lupin says "Theres nothing you can do about it...hes gone." Now...if he's gone, the surely he cant come back, dont you think? Even magic cannot bring someone back to life.

I can understand that people want to beleive he could come back.
Indeed he's one of the most popalur character in the diffrent books, but it doesn't change the fact, IN MY OPINION, that he won't comme back.

Ok, I don't think Sirius will come back to life because of obvious reasons. But I do think we will hear from him again somehow. Via Harry's dreams, portrait, marauders map. I dunno. I'm partial towards Harry's dreams.
