No Deatheaters

Postby Phaerie » Wednesday 12 May 2004 10:49:45am

Has anybody else considered how easy it could be to round up Voldemort, Bellatrix, Wormtail, Crouch these being the only few ( that we know of/ that i could think of) who are free. The majority of the DE's were caught at the end of OotP and put in Azkaban. i know theres the whole issue of deserting dementors, but one would think that the ministry would put in new security measures to at least prevent hteir escape. Afterall we've already had 2 jailbreaks in the story, a 3rd is just repetative.

So currently Voldemort is not in a very strong position & its always best to strike then.

How is Voldemort going to get back to power with most of his followers locked up, or how is he going to break them out?

i would assume that there would be a third jailbreak since Malfoy, Dolohov, Macnair are the most important DEs around. yes it is predictable and repetitive but the story can move forward only that way. in real life, the ministry would have killed most of the DEs

i think with the Dementors out of Azkaban, there would be Aurors protecting the jail. that would make it relatively easier to attack. maybe the first battle of the second wizarding war will be fought at Azkaban, Dementors and DEs against the Aurors. but i am sure the ministry would be expecting that so i would be quite disappointed if there isnt enough protection against an attack

A fight in Azkaban would be quite sensible, after all we hear about it a lot and generally with JKR we eventually visit that place that is mentioned. He will probably break some of them out but the others will be killed bcse of the gravity of the situation. (great avatar Phaerie)

Azkaban

I could really see the 6th book culminate around a Azkaban Breakout. Like the whole book would build up to it, and if the Dementors stay there, they could have a scene were voldemort is standing facing the wizard guards, the guards tell the dementors to attack, and the dementors turn and weaken the good guys. That's probably unlikely, but i think that book 6 will be about an Azkaban breakout.

I think that Voldemort will try to organise the break out of Azkaban near the start of the sixth book, while the ministry is still in a bit of confusion. We know that there will be a new minister of magic, so maybe that will give the dark side enough time to break into Azkaban before any defences are properly organised.

There may not be any connection to Azkaban because

1. DE`s still in Azkaban would be out already

2. There would be no point in LV going to Azkaban

3. We have already used the Azkaban thing in the books and that line is through

Crouch isn't free.

Voldemort would be difficult to round up:

1. You have to find him
2. You have to have enough volunteers to make it easier to take him on
3. Dumbledore could only match him, so others won't be as lucky
4. He could just apparate if he senses any trouble coming his way

That's why he couldn't be caught the first time.

hrrm intreaguing.

i think there could be some sort of power struggle, as to who controls azkaban i think it would be good to have dementors fighting the good guys, it could give harry a chance to actually feel like he was doing something? he can use his patronius and could maybe teach the others ( ron, hermione, neville, ginny not the aurors obv)to do it?

Yeah I was thinking about maybe book 6 centering around Azkaban, since Harry has never seen it before. But then again, JKR always finds something new we've never heard of to use as the main plot.

well we've heard about azkaban, but harryhasnt ever been there.

i think there is a possibility that he may go there, since we've heard about it, like we heard about st mungos before we actually went there with harry.
