QUIDDITCH

Postby Barry Trotter » Wednesday 9 June 2004 1:17:11pm

i probbably should have posted this in the quidditch forum BUT.
what's happened to the quidditch here?

do we have any house teams anymore? i'm just curious . would it be possible to revamp interhouse matches? ( did we ever have any in the first place?)

i'd be very interested in starting this all up again.

maybe prefects could find out or decide on a house team?
or do you think its a bad idea?

You're supposed to be patient. Paul can't do everything at once and he has only just done avatar uploading and the big serious roleplay.

I'm sure the quidditch will get done eventually, I believe Hufflepuff still has a team although SG deals with that so I could be wrong.

I was under the impression Paul had had some brilliant idea which needed setting up....there should be a thread SG had in the mod forum about it or there was a while ago....

The Gryffindor do have a revamp team...and perhaps a little fine adjustment and the team is ready.

But I guess we really have to come out with a workable system that allows fair play...but it is really hard...

I think the only thing comes closer to having a quidditch match is the currently quidditch match in the RPG section.

well, awhile back, i had a system set up. the thread is prolly still there. it was a system devised on chance, and then i would write in into a story, once the outcome of the game was done. so, basically, no skill is needed, just a set of teams. if anyone is interested in that, dig up the thread, and we'll set up the house teams (or exhibtion teams).

No problem, Barry. :-) I think TDM's idea is the best to go with at the moment. I've got something I do want to eventually do with the Quidditch but everything seems to take much longer than planned. It'll be quite a big project so I still can't give any dates yet. :)

Oooh, I've just found TDM's thread again - here it is...EXHIBITION QUIDDITCH MATCHES!

well, if anyone really wants to do that, i'd be happy to run it. actually, if we do end up using House Teams, then Stucko Queen (my sister) volunteered to to the actual rolling, so ppl wouldn't accuse me of cheating (as i'm the Ravenclaw seeker). or, i'd just give up my position. anyway, if anyone wants to do that, post in that thread.

BTW, Paul, thanks for digging it up. i'd would've done it, but i wasn't sure if anyone really wanted it to be.
