I always use the word "Viech" or "Viechle" (the twee version), which can be translated as "creature", but it's a colloquialism. I think I call almost everything and everyone a creature (or sometimes thingy), for example video game/film characters or living persons.
It was yesterday that, during the PE lesson, I said to a friend, "Those dancing creatures, where are they?" (I meant the dancing group). She looked at me as if I was crazy. However, most people know that I don't want to affront anyone, so it's ok.
Besides, I like "well" and "you know" and "(in)appropriate", but I don't get to use the last one very often, although I try hard. Too bad.

I say the words ''Ahum'' and ''Duh'' a lot. I picked it up on school and I can't get it outta my head. And if I must speak English I use much basic words, 'cause I can't produce smarter words ;).

There are so many teachers who do that, aren't there? At school we used to make a list and every time the teacher used hi/her "favourite word/phrase" we made a line and then we counted it at the end of teh lesson.

I am sure I have phrases or words like that too, hmmmmm......oh yeah I use the word "Weltklasse" far too often for things that I like, or meant sarcastically. It means "world-class". Another word might be "geh bitte", meaning "oh come on/oh please!"

Hmm.. I had an English teacher who finished every sentence with 'OK'... And it was extremely funny, cause when she was talking, we used to whisper ok before she did it... and there is a Portuguese personality who said "nomeadamente" (something like "in particular", or, "for example") too often, even if it doesn't make any sense in the sentence he's saying!

Ispeak very quietly and I know a guy who speaks probably as fast as ganymede and very silently like me  .Our literature teacher(the only cool teacher who can't fall for any tricks at all and always is right and fun)basicly annhilated(sp?)him SO bad.
-now speak a little higher...good.Now make your one word in several so we can all understand you.
She tries to make us study harder by hummiliating us very bady.I'm on her "almost smart" list, which is a very big thing to achieve, as most of the eight-graders are on her "stupid" list 8)

a friend of me speaks really unclearly, but i am used to it. When she talks to someone who doesn´t know her that good i´m always "translating" it to them...  :D

i speak too fast and so i end up being incoherent many times. its like someone says something, i say a sentence and then someone says "Huh?" and i have to repeat the sentence slowly. this happens quite often in a conversation which is quite irritating

i have had many irritating phrases. currently i use "me" instead of "i" a lot like "me go now" instead of "i am going now"

Gee Groo you sound like my kids! I am constantly after them for saying the exact same things
Oh well thats my job I'm a MOM

I have a habit that isn't so much annoying but I do get teased quite a bit about it.
After I say something often times I will repeat it to myself under my breath. It is almost like I am repeating my words to make sure I said them correctly.
When I do this I don't even realize that I am doing it until whom ever it is I am speaking to comments on this rather odd behavior.
I've no idea where I picked this habit up either. I have done it since I was a child.
