What if Harry had used the mirror?

I don't think Harry will be able to communicate with dead Sirius through the mirror. But I think it will reappear and might be used by Harry and someone else to keep in touch. very possibly someone from the Order. Lupin? Or even the Weasley's? Mayn possibilities, but J.K. won't mention an interesting item like that without intending it to be useful in some way.

yeah, possibly. there would be no other purpose to introduce the mirror and not use it apart from making us curse harry a bit more for his temper and stupidity

he would have realized it was a trap and stayed there and he would have notified mr weasly and they would have came and crashed down on the deatheaters
