Phinea see if you can get ahold of and abridged version! Dickens story lines are fantastically harsh but like I said before his style of writing can be very overwhelming :)

I think that at the moment I just need something lighter or I should have chosen "The Pickwick Papers", that's great.

The Wave? Haven't read it, but after reading the reviews on Amazon.com it sounds pretty cool.

So far this summer I've read the following:

Phantom of the Opera- Brilliant! Erik is such an incredibly complex character. Whether you hate him or love him, everyone pities him because he's a genious, and if he was at least ugly (and by ugly I mean people would still be able to look at him without freaking out), he would've ruled the world.

Dracula- It was pretty good... but I liked PotO more. The characters were kinda annoying except for Dr. Seward and Van Helsing, they're cool.

Poisonwood Bible- It's for summer reading. Just started it yesterday. It's about a Baptist family who goes to Africa on a missionary. Not bad, but I've only read 30 out of about 600 pages. :-?

Phantome of the opera and dracula are sounding good !

I have to read them. I read the abridgement of Frankenstein last year, it was very interesting.

In september 2003 I started reading the silmarilion, between it was so boring, so I gave up reading it but I will starting it again the next time.
