How did your vision of the books compare with what the movies presented? Was it the same? Totally different?

actually...i think the movies got it almost spot on for me...apart from the obvious fact that they need to miss out stuff for time....

Kinda hit and miss for me. Some things were how I imagined it to be, other things were totally different. So mixed feelings for me.

yeah, same here. i think they did a good job, considering they ARE movies... sometime i regret they've been made into movies, but overall, i'm pretty satisfied. :D
