I finally saw the movie last night and it was amazing! In the beginning, I was getting a little disappointed because there was so little action, but then Neo met the Oracle and had the fight with Agent Smith and I don't believe I blinked for the rest of the movie! Oh yes, and Weaving saying, "Welcome Back Mr. Anderson," was so, so lovely.
The one question I have is in regard to what happened at the end when Neo, while in the 'real world,' was able to stop the sentinel with his bare hand. How can he do this?
The only possible explanation I can think of pertains to what Cougar just said about the 'real world' being a part of the Matrix. If you consider what the Architect said about 99% of all humans following a 'free-choice' algorithm, then all of their actions can be predicted and controlled. However, the other 1% are those living in Zion who have 'woken up.' Could it be possible that the machines have created a type of shell Matrix for those humans to live in, where they are able to be controlled by a more advanced choice algorithm? This would help explain the cycle of destruction among all the previous Matrices. Furthermore, this would suggest that Neo is of the percentage of that 1% for whom the 'free choice' algorithm doesn't work and he's beginning to realise that. That said, this can result in two outcomes: Neo will fully recognize this power and that will be the end. Or, as he progresses further as being 'the One' who is different from all those before him (the five 'Ones' from the previous Matrices,) then he will wake up from the Matrix and be the first human to start a real revolution. Methinks I like the second outcome the best.
And now that I've succeeded in completely confusing everyone, I've one more thing to add. I recently heard that the Albino Coalition of the World (or something like that) is getting all up in arms over the use of the Albino Gaurds. Lol. I really can't think of much else to say other than that.
